My ‘Loud Looking’ Tinder tagline gets me more chocolate than sex

Tinder dating trends media kit

The perfect Tinder tagline can help you survive the dangerous dating jungle. Some might want a life partner, or maybe they just want a date on Valentine’s Day, but as for me — I want dessert.

Consider me a prowess of the night on the hunt for her next dessert. My prey? Chivalrous suitors and desserts like Vinero’s dark and milk chocolate mouse cake. Roar! The chocolate-chip rice pudding at Rice to Riches. Lunge! The chocolate souffle’ at Pascalou. Attack!

Cut to me across the table, ravenously devouring ice cream, with chocolate sauce dripping down my chin.

My secret weapon? ‘Loud Looking.’

‘Loud Looking’ on Tinder and why you should be screaming your head off

According to TINDER’S YEAR IN SWIPE™ 2024, a dating trend has emerged called “Loud Looking” showing, “singles are ditching the vague and getting vocal and specific about their needs and desires, confidently and unapologetically.”

Which brings me to reaffirm how important a Tinder tagline is for your own hunt.

How to write a Tinder tagline

Firstly, anyone can write one or two great lines. Especially when they adopt a Loud Looking mentality.

For example, when I’m on the app, I want to go on dates that I enjoy. Chocolate is my way of life, so it’s important for me to have a partner that at least enjoys a decadent dessert. Additionally, if the date doesn’t lead anywhere, at least I got some chocolate out of the experience.

So, how do you come up with a Tinder tagline to get what you want? Here are’s what I think you should write:

  1. Include a call-to-action/invitation
  2. Keep it short (One to two sentences)
  3. Mention an activity you enjoy

My Tinder tagline is “Take me out for dessert,” simple and to the point. Numerous potential partners have introduced or treated me to some of the best desserts in New York City.

Last week, my Tinder date and I met Vinero’s Pastry in the East Village, where we shared our two favorite desserts. He ordered the Tiramisu (which was a respectable choice,) and I ordered the dark and milk chocolate mousse cake (which was the better choice.) It was a great first date. Has there been a second? Nope.

Still, I consider it another successful hunt and just another unsuccessful date.

Join the hunt

In 2025, I want to indulge in everything I desire. Whether it’s dopamine hit, best friend and life partner, or chocolate better than sex, I believe being intentional is the key to dating and life.

Life is too short to put up with mediocre dates and skipping dessert.
